Biological ActivityOphiopogonin D, isolated from the tuber of Ophiopogon japonicus, is a rare naturally occurring C29 steroidal glycoside. Ophiopogonin D' has cytotoxic activity against two human tumor cell lines, MG-63 and SNU387, with IC50s of 3.09 μM and 3.63 μM, respectively.
