| | | IRON(III) PERCHLORATE HYDRATE Usage And Synthesis |
 | Chemical Properties | pale yellow to pale violet crystals | | Uses | Iron(III) perchlorate hydrate is used as a starting material for the synthesis of a tris-salicylate Fe(III) complex having bidentate chelating units that allow two coordination modes. It is also used as a catalyst for synthesis of fullerene-fused lactones, α-Carbonyl furans via one-pot cyclization, fullerodioxolanes via heterocyclization, dialylated indoles via double alkylation, aryl esters via oxidative esterification and as a chemical actinometer based on photolysis of ferrioxalate in presence of polyoxometalate in aqueous solution, as an oxidant for conducting polymer nanoparticles synthesized in ionic liquid by chemical polymerization. |
