SILVER BROMATE Usage And Synthesis
Chemical PropertiesWhite powder and lumps
UsesSilver bromate is useful oxidant for the transformation of tetrahydropyranyl ethers to carbonyl compounds.1
Purification MethodsIt crystallises from hot water (80mL/g). It reacts with bromine water to form bromic acid (HBrO3) which is a strong oxidising agent. Store it in the dark.
