| Uses | 7,8-Dihydro-5(6H)-quinolone is used as a reagent in the synthesis of pyridino N-alkylated nicotine analogs which can serve as nicotinic acetylcholine receptor antagonists. 7,8-Dihydro-5(6H)-quinolone is also used in the total synthesis of (±)-tangutorine, a novel indole alkaloid. |
