systemic insecticide. Its use was discontinued because of
severe delayed neuropathy hazard in humans. The oral
LD50/LC50 in rabbits is 100 mg/kg. Toxic action is as a neurotoxicant
with both acute and delayed actions, acting as a
cholinesterase inhibitor (acute toxicity) and as a neurotoxic
esterase inhibitor (possibly linked to delayed toxicity).
Symptoms in humans are typical anticholinesterase symptoms.
Therapy is supportive as well as atropine sulfate and
2-PAM. |
| | N,N′-Diisoprophyl phosphordiamide fluoride Usage And Synthesis |
| Uses | Insecticide. | | Uses | Mipafox is an insecticide. | | Definition | ChEBI: Mipafox is a phosphoramide. | | Hazard | Cholinesterase inhibitor. | | Safety Profile | Poison by ingestion, subcutaneous, and intraperitoneal routes.
