Uses1-Ethyl-3-methylimidazolium acetate is suitable for use as cellulose solvent in the homogeneous conversion of cellulose with acid chlorides, trityl chloride and tosyl chloride. It may be employed as solvent for the synthesis of copolymer of starch grafted with polystyrene (starch-g-PS) and environmentally friendly cellulose films.
Uses1-Ethyl-3-methylimidazolium Acetate is ionic liquid; used in method for efficiently extracting high purity gutta percha gum based on two-phase ionic liquid and organic solvent.
