General DescriptionCrystal structure of 2-amino-5-bromopyrimidine was studied.
SynthesisThe synthesis of 2-Amino-5-bromopyrimidine is as follows:The 2-aminopyrimidine (2.5g, 26.29mmol) was dissolved in acetonitrile (25mL) was added N- bromosuccinimide (4.6g, 27.9mmol) under ice-cooling, stirred in the dark overnight at room temperature. Recovery of the solvent under reduced pressure, washed with water (100 mL) was washed, filtered off with suction, and dried in vacuo to give a white solid. Yield: 97%.
