Uses	4-(Chlorosulfonyl)benzoic acid was used in the preparation of polymer bound transfer hydrogenation catalyst and 4-(carboxymethyl-sulfamoyl)-benzoyladenosine. It was also used as a reagent in the sulfonation of γ-cyclodextrin.
