Weighting agent for beverages made from sugar. It increases the specific gravity of flavoring oils used in citrus beverages to prevent separation. It is odorless and flavorless at usage levels. It is also termed SAIB.
Uses
Modifier for lacquers, hot-melt coating formulations,
extrudable plastics.
