N-Methylmethanamine 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetate Usage And Synthesis
Uses2,4-D Dimethylamine Salt can be used as analyte in biological and analytical studies of evaluation of individual and combined management practices to reduce off-site transport of pesticides from golf course turf.
General DescriptionBrown liquid. A solution of the dimethylammonium salt of the weak organic acid 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid. Used as an herbicide.
Air & Water ReactionsWater soluble.
Reactivity ProfileN-Methylmethanamine 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetate neutralizes acids in exothermic reactions to form salts plus water. May be incompatible with isocyanates, halogenated organics, peroxides, phenols (acidic), epoxides, anhydrides, and acid halides. Flammable gaseous hydrogen may be generated in combination with strong reducing agents, such as hydrides.
Fire HazardN-Methylmethanamine 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetate is combustible.
