Uses	Allylchlorodimethylsilane is used in the synthesis of cyclo-1,1?,4,4?-bis(1,1,3,3-tetramethyl-1,3-disiloxanediyl)dibenzene, silylating agent for steroids for analysis by GC-MS. Also used in the preparation of phenylenebis(silanediyl triflates), useful synthons for organosilicon polymers, O-silylation of phenyl sulfones.
